The EVS depends on the program Youth in action and promotes European young people mobility. There are two types of EVS; the first concerns an individual project and the second concerns a collective project.

Who is concerned?

To be between 18 and 30 years old and it is not necessary to have any degree.

The 31 candidate countries:

EU 27: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Romania, United-Kingdom, Slovenia, Sweden.

Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, which are 3 countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA)

1 country as European Union’s candidate: Turkey.

The projects activity sectors:

Environment.

Organization and Youth.

Culture and media.

Patrimony.

European sensitization.

Struggle against exclusions.

Handicap.

Financial help:

The European Voluntary Service is free for volunteers, the reception structures receive grants, and the volunteers have pocket money. Volunteers have also insurance.
